WINTER WEEKEND - Rhonda Bostrom has served as Senior Pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Mercer Island, WA since March 2022. Previously, she served congregations in southeastern Nebraska. Rhonda started knitting on pastoral internship 25 years ago and taught herself from a book. She says she would have benefitted from a knitting circle.

WINTER WEEKEND - Sara Calvosa Olson is the author of Chími Nu’am: Native California Foodways for the Contemporary Kitchen (Heyday, 2023). Her work explores storytelling and Indigenous food sovereignty through renewed relationships with California’s oldest foods. Sara is also a Karuk asiktávaan (woman) and táat (mother) of two teenage sons.
Holden Village recognizes Lent, Holy week, and Easter with a wide array of special programming. While celebrating its Lutheran roots, Holden Village draws from a variety of traditions and embraces the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional aspects of faith. Join Holden this spring as the community explores the season through the lens of justice. The week will be capped with a Saturday Vigil and an Easter Sunday service, egg hunt, and feast meal.
Join us for a week of work and community, transitioning our remote community from one season to the next! Whether this is your first visit or your fiftieth, Holden invites you to lend your time and talents for community projects and summer preparations.
