Village facilitators (also known as teaching faculty and guest musicians) are community organizers and poets, soil scientists and feminist theologians, printmakers and environmental chemists, pastors and gardeners, artists and musicians, retreat leaders and so much more. They are people building relationships and curating safe spaces that create strong community through storytelling, music, and scholarship.
As we navigate this unpredictable time, we are working hard to continue to offer safe, creative spaces for learning, play, and building community! 2026 facilitator sessions are being held in-person outside of the village and virtually. Are you interested in becoming a part of our teaching faculty and guest musician 2026 cohort? See our prospective facilitator information letter and complete our interest form below! For questions and more information, please email Maddie Pohl, Community Learning Lead (education@holdenvillage.org)

When open to guests, Holden Village is a place that nurtures growth & learning. Teaching faculty sessions are a unique opportunity for life-long learning in community. Teaching faculty come from many backgrounds, disciplines, and walks of life. Sessions range from lectures, interactive lessons, and movement classes to workshops, discussions, and art classes. Each presenter or pair of presenters offers four classes, Monday to Thursday, during their scheduled week. Classes typically last between an hour to an hour and a half. These sessions can be either a continuous arc or cover several topics. Either way, you are welcome to attend as few or as many sessions as you like during your stay; you are not required to register for teaching faculty sessions ahead of time
