Teaching Faculty

Amber Mattingly

Amber brings a background shaped by Christian faith, theological scholarship, and somatic healing practice. A graduate of Baylor University and holder of an MDiv from Truett Seminary, she completed her Doctor of Ministry at Claremont, where her project “From the Pew to the Mat: Seeing and Hearing the Outsider” explored creating sacred space across religious boundaries. Her work as a pastor, yoga teacher (RYT 200), and soul coach is infused with trauma-informed, inclusive attention, offering practices that invite self-compassion, radical inclusion, and spiritual resilience.

Together, Pema and Amber have been teaching loving-kindness in various settings, including Joyful Path’s weekly Loving-Kindness Group, where they invite people to rest in compassion, strengthen presence, and rediscover innate goodness.
