Work Week at the BnB

We’re putting together a small volunteer work crew to help refinish the deck and railings at the B&B during the week of October 12–16!

We’re looking for volunteers who are comfortable with hands-on work and would enjoy spending a few days working together at the B&B. Skilled volunteers are especially welcome, but there may be opportunities for others to lend a hand as well.

Lodging

Volunteers coming from out of town may stay at the B&B at no cost during the project.

We expect to have five guest rooms available, including:

• 2 rooms with queen beds
• 3 rooms with twin beds

Individuals are welcome, and two people traveling together may share a room.

Meals

Sunday dinner will be on your own.

During the work week:

• Breakfast and lunch will be provided and set up for self-service.
• Dinner will be prepared each evening for the group.
• Volunteers who choose to go into town for a meal may do so at their own expense.

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you sign up.

What to Bring

If you have them, please bring basic personal work and safety gear, especially:

• Work gloves
• Safety glasses
• Appropriate work clothes and sturdy shoes

If you have any tools or supplies you can bring along it would be very helpful for the project! You can let us know what you have in the RSVP form, but we are looking for the following:

• Paint supplies
• 2″ & 4″ Paint or stain brushes
• paint rollers
• paint pans
• Tarps
• chop saw
• skill saw / circular saw
• battery sanders / corded sanders
• extension cords
• battery power drills and drivers

Whether you can stay for the full week or commute in to help for a day or two, we’d be glad to hear from you.

This will be a great opportunity to help care for the B&B, work alongside friends and fellow volunteers, and enjoy some time together in a beautiful setting.
