Linda Chastine

Linda Chastine, affectionately known as “LC,” is a Black Queer Femme living, working, and building community in Seattle, WA. After graduating from Clark Atlanta University’s (CAU) Whitney M. Young, Jr., School of Social Work in 2015, LC dedicated her time to working with nonprofit and grassroots organizations serving Black, non-black, and LGBTQIA communities. LC’s professional expertise lies in building collective organizations through a developmental and humanistic perspective, working with individuals and organizations to align with their passion, purpose, and flow, and inspiring creative thought partnerships within community organizing seeking to amplify their work and mission, holistically finding solutions toward regenerative and reparative change and growthLC is a pisces and enjoys all things spirituality, especially mind-body activities. LC’s obsessions are reality TV, bodies of water, spa treatments, and her five-year-old pup Honey Lou. 

SESSION DESCRIPTION

This workshop explores the profound power of loving kindness (Metta) as a pathway to gaining perspective and resilience. We will draw upon the wisdom of Buddhist principles and African spiritual traditions to navigate difficult times, challenging emotions, interpersonal conflict, and internal struggles with an open heart and a resilient (and remembering) spirit.
