Holden Village Virtual Town Hall

Holden Village is hoping to reopen in 2028 but planning for 2029. In other words, while we will be ready to reopen to guests as soon as conditions allow, we must prepare as an organization to make it without guests in the Village until 2029.
On Sunday, September 20, the Holden Village co-executive directors will co-facilitate a virtual town hall meeting at 2 p.m. PT / 4 p.m. CT with members of the Board. This will be an opportunity to hear more details about the road and about how we plan to navigate this long closure. We also invite your questions ahead of that meeting.
A central question that we’ve been asking with the Board of Directors is how can we fulfill our mission of welcoming all to the wilderness when it is impossible to welcome guests into the Railroad Creek Valley?
We believe that we are being called to a different wilderness during this time. A wilderness of unknowing. A wilderness of liminality. A wilderness of waiting to see what new things God is doing in this place. And maybe, the new thing is not about the place at all.
