Fire Systems Technician

POSTION SUMMARY

Responsible for the provision and maintenance of the Village fire detection, alarm, sprinkler, suppression systems, and hose houses. Basic knowledge of fire-fighting, plumbing, and electrical systems is helpful.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

(principal duties and responsibilities; such as categories supported, staff size, volume managed, etc)

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Makes monthly rounds through all buildings checking fire system status and alerting supervisor of hazards.
Utilizes power point software to present fire safety and response curricula.
Works under the training and mentorship of the Fire Brigade Chief.
Will become a member of the fire brigade.

Must have the ability to act calmly and rationally in emergency situations.

Be a community leader and role model by serving the village in roles such as First
Response Team, Fire Brigade, Worship, and other program events and activities.

Commits to staying up-do date on all required vaccinations, including COVID-19.

As a Long-Term Volunteer, you are eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

$550/month stipend
