The Holden community extends far beyond its physical location in a serene mountain valley. Become part of a vital group of supporters who make meaningful commitments to partner in prayer, volunteerism, and regular financial contributions. Holden Village’s mission is lived out because of continuing support of donors and volunteers who are generous with their time and money.

What does it mean to support the mission and ministry of Holden Village?

You can make the mission of Holden Village come to life in one or more of the following ways:

  • Write a check, make a credit card contribution via our Web site, or give cash when you’re in the Village to ensure financial viability for Holden Village;
  • Open the doors to the ministry of Holden Village by inviting others to come;
  • Participate in volunteer opportunities as a short-term or long-term staff member
  • Pray regularly for the ministries of Holden Village
  • Encourages others to be a part of Holden Village

Participating in the mission of Holden Village is to allocate the blessings you are entrusted with as stewards of God’s graciousness. Currently, Holden is proud to offer each guest a registration fee which accounts for approximately two-thirds of the cost* of his or her visit. The remainder comes from a variety of gifts including donations, varied volunteer service, and gifts of tangible items. You have a place at Holden through your financial contributions which are gratefully accepted. *Cost per person includes lodging, all meals, snacks, beverage bar, programs and bus trip to and from Lucerne.

Other sources of income include: bookstore net income, the Field’s Point Landing service center (under contract with the Forest Service during 8 months out of each year), contributions directed to the Koinonia Fund, the Annual Fund of the Village, as well as Advent and Pentecost appeals, and a tremendous value of volunteer time and expertise which support daily operations.

The Development team works to raise charitable contributions which support the mission of Holden Village: to welcome all people into the wilderness to be called, equipped and sent by God as we share rhythms of

  • Work, recreation, and study
  • Intercession and healing
