Info for Unregistered Guests and Through Hikers

Holden Village welcomes you to the village and to the Railroad Creek Valley. Although most of the people visiting the village choose to register at Holden and participate in programming, there are many activities and services available to hikers, campers and others who are not registered.

If you are planning to take the bus between Holden and Lucerne, we strongly recommend that you email the registrar (registration@holdenvillage.org) with the date you plan to take the bus to and/or from Holden Village (this is an 11 mile bus ride). There is limited space on our buses. Registered guests and those who have requested bus space by email will be given priority over those who have not written to communicate their plans. Please include your name, the number in your party and your arrival and/or departure date to and from the Village.

Costs for through-hikers:

Meals in the Dining Hall (Breakfast $5.00; Lunch $7.00 [except hunger awareness - $5.00]; Dinner $8.00)

Transportation between Lucerne and Holden (terminates at Luggage dock): (One way: $10.00; Round trip $15.00) Bus fare is the same regardless of age. There is no charge for dogs.
