For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21
God’s promises free us to come out of hiding into the light. In this retreat, we’ll use imaginative play to help us identify with and explore the promises God plants deep in us. We’ll study Job 28, where God’s wisdom and understanding are characterized as precious metals and jewels to be mined. Together we’ll search the overwhelming questions, and enjoy the rhythm and drama of the journey that keeps us looking for the hidden treasure only God can reveal in us.

Come for a weekend of new friendships, creative opportunities, and active listening for God’s promises in our lives – plus a glimpse of Holden’s mining history.

    Retreat Leaders:
Mary Alette Davis is an actress, theater director and Christian educator who for many years has been mining the imagination for precious metals and other treasures.
Nancy Winder is Holden’s pastor and loves to mine the treasures of the Bible.
Carol Hinderlie, Holden co-director, “digs” hearing and writing about the many ways God’s promises change hearts and lives by calling out new gifts in each person.

*Special offer: come early or stay late (arrive on Wednesday, Feb. 3, or depart on Wednesday, Feb. 10) and pay a reduced rate for the extra days.*
