Well, at long last, Holden seems to have acquired an alternative monthly newsletter. More farcical than Madison's lowly "Onion", more cutting edge than Seattle's stayed "Stranger". Meet the Holden CLOVE! This month's tag-line: "All the news that’s fit to sauté in olive oil and kale, with a little white balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, and salt or fish sauce, if you have it." Delicious.

The Snow Is (almost) Here

This morning, as I was making Holden “Huevos Rancheros,” I was again confronted with the duty and delight of hospitality. Some of us are up early every morning making certain our fire crew has a really big breakfast at 7AM followed by a hearty post prandial sandwich bar.
