
Winter Events
Visiting the Village in the quiet winter months, you’ll enjoy crafts, conversations, snowshoeing, sledding, cross country skiing, and time to just be. Bring a book, or borrow one from the library. You can also check out the audio archive and listen to sessions from the past. Keep in mind the boat schedule is limited so check their Web site, www.ladyofthelake.com, when planning your dates.

- Hosted Holden Evening Prayer Services – April 1
Celebrate Holden Village’s 50th Anniversary with Holden Evening Prayer in your home town, home church, or your home. Join with the Holden Village community worldwide singing Marty Haugen’s beloved setting of Holden Evening Prayer. To view a list of locations currently hosting a service, click here. A two day first aid course hosted at Holden Village. This course covers a wide range of wilderness medicine topics for people who travel and work in the outdoors. For more information, click here. Spend a week at Holden Village helping the housekeeping and operations staff get ready for the spring and summer season. To volunteer for Spring Work Week, please contact staffing@holdenvillage.org. - May Youth Weekends - May 19-21, 25-27, & 27-29
Three retreat weekends for high school youth groups and their leaders. This year’s theme: Keep Church Weird. Click here for more information and registration. - Living Liturgy: Worship and a Way of Life – June 4-8
The week will take its shape from the four-fold pattern of the liturgy: Gathering, Word, Meal, Sending, and will include bible study, sessions on worship planning, liturgical theology, building leadership skills for musicians, and forming lay leaders. Every other summer or so, volunteers come to give a week of service to the Village. Work Camp Volunteers get to enjoy summer in the Village and help with special projects, making Holden an even better place to be! To volunteer for Work Camp, please contact staffing@holdenvillage.org.
